"We were contacted a few months ago by the Rhythmic Gymnastics branch of the Hungarian Gymnastics Association to design the competition uniform for the national team, as they particularly liked our previous Czukormadár leotard. Incidentally, a Richelieu tablecloth was processed on this iconic piece, on a lace base. From this, we prepared the demo piece for them, and then the discussions regarding the style began. From then on, it was necessary to make a performance, i.e. competition, outfit, which has very serious rules in the world of rhythmic gymnastics. I am thinking, for example, of the size of the flag, the proportions of the cutouts, the linings, the length of the skirt, etc. Exact rules must be followed, so it was a very serious work process requiring several trials, which both parties were happy to do anyway. As soon as the sample met the competition regulations, the productions started in the Sugarbird sewing room. Congratulations to the girls, we proudly supported them during the EC!" - said Ádám Baranyi, the designer of Sugarbird.
